Seeker Music has acquired the music publishing catalog of Simon Raymonde, the songwriter, bassist, and keyboardist of Cocteau Twins.
The deal covers Raymonde‘s body of work as a member of the Scottish band, including his co-writes on the 1990 album Heaven or Las Vegas.
Seeker did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
Raymonde joined Cocteau Twins in 1983 and co-wrote with the group across albums including Treasure, Blue Bell Knoll, and Heaven or Las Vegas.
Cocteau Twins draw around 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
On Spotify, the Heaven or Las Vegas opener Cherry-Coloured Funk has been streamed more than 179 million times.
That track, co-written by Raymonde, was sampled by The Weeknd on The Knowing, from his 2011 mixtape House of Balloons.
The band’s body of work was recognized with the Ivors Academy‘s Visionary Award in 2022, presented to Raymonde and bandmates Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie at the Ivor Novello Awards in London.
Beyond Cocteau Twins, Raymonde co-founded and runs the UK independent label Bella Union, home to acts including Beach House and Father John Misty.

Seeker is led by hit songwriter Evan Bogart and backed by M&G Investments.
The company said the deal reflects two tenets of its strategy: a focus on catalogs that can reach new fans, and its continued expansion into the UK and international markets.
Seeker acquired the catalog of British R&B singer Jay Sean in 2025.
Its UK acquisitions also include the publishing catalog of The Wombats, alongside deals for Mark Morrison, production duo Future Cut, and songwriters Plested and RuthAnne.
Seeker says its portfolio is now worth more than $400 million and spans over 19,000 copyrights.
In March, the company closed a $267 million asset-backed securitization backed by that catalog, arranged by M&G‘s structured finance team.
It has since continued to add to the catalog, including the masters and publishing of Nu Shooz.
Seeker was founded in 2020 and was named No. 2 on Fast Company‘s list of the Most Innovative Music Companies of 2025.
