Vivek Vaswani spoke about why he hasn’t met Shah Rukh Khan in four years.
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest superstars in the world. During the course of his illustrious career, the actor has amassed a huge fan following, not only in India but also globally. Popularly known as ‘King Khan’, Shah Rukh has come a long way in Bollywood. When he first started acting, he was greatly helped by Vivek Vaswani who not only helped chart his career but also gave him a place to stay. However, the two haven’t met in years.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Vivek recalled his last meeting with Shah Rukh back in 2018 on the superstar’s birthday and said, “I went to his birthday party four years ago. He told me specifically, ‘Sir, aa jaao, bachchon se milvana chahta hoon (Sir, please come, I want you to meet my kids). I had great fun at the party. When we meet, we are very good.”
Speaking about why he hasn’t met Shah Rukh yet, Vivek said, “He has 17 phones, and I have one number. If he picks it up only then I can talk. I called him after Jawan, but he didn’t pick up. When I was in the shower, he called, which I didn’t pick up. He is travelling all the time. He also has responsibilities. He runs an empire, so I am okay.”
Vivek said, “We don’t have a relationship. We don’t talk. We don’t meet, but when we do, it’s as if the years were not there. I am not a suburbanite. I am a teacher. I am the dean of a school. I work 18 hours a day. I travel by bus, local train, and Shah Rukh is a superstar.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. He will soon be seen in Tiger vs Pathaan, sharing the screen with Salman Khan.
