Universal Studios has announced a brand new Sinners–themed attraction for the upcoming edition of its Halloween Horror Nights programming.
Ryan Coogler’s inventive vampire horror was a massive success, making $370.3 million globally at the box office in 2025 and receiving a staggering 16 Oscar nominations this year. The film — starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who return home in an attempt to leave their troubled past behind, only to find an even greater evil awaiting them — won four Oscars in March, including Best Lead Actor and Best Original Screenplay.
Now, Sinners will be honored with a haunted house at Universal Studios’ Orlando and Hollywood theme parks as part of its signature Halloween Horror Nights programming this fall. This year marks the 35th annual event, featuring outdoor scare zones, interactive haunted houses, walk-through mazes, horror-themed food and live shows.
“The terrifying Halloween Horror Nights house will transport guests back in time to the popular Club Juke,” Universal wrote — referring to the Mississippi Delta juke joint owned by Smoke and Stack in Sinners —in a recent press release.
“Where they will quickly realize that nothing is as it seems when nefarious, red-eyed vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan appear with their insatiable hunger, as they attempt to evade the vampires at every turn, fans will encounter some of their favorite characters lifted straight from the film, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread,” the release continued, referring to the other characters in the film.

“Caught in a deadly struggle between twins Smoke and Stack and the bloodthirsty vampires, guests must survive the night – because the terror will only relent once the sun rises.”
This year’s edition of Halloween Horror Nights will run on select evenings at Universal Orlando Resort between August 28 and November 1, and at Universal Studios Hollywood between September 3 and November 1. Universal is already selling tickets online for the event, which is completely separate from regular daytime admission.
The Independent has contacted Universal for additional information.
John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, added in a statement: “At Halloween Horror Nights, we push the boundaries of what a live horror experience can be. Just as Ryan Coogler’s Academy Award-winning film Sinners re-invented the vampire movie, we are re-inventing the haunted house and creating new ways to scare our guests that we’ve never attempted and are thrilled to bring this amazing story to life in a truly terrifying and fully immersive way.”
Leading up to Halloween Horror Nights, Universal is selling new Sinners-inspired merchandise, including a brown hat and shirt.
The Sinners attraction was announced two months after Universal revealed that it was bringing back its Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow haunted house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
