The Bhartiya Janta Get together (BJP) on Sunday condemned Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar after a viral video emerged of him allegedly slapping a Congress employee throughout an election marketing campaign in Haveri district.
The incident, captured in a viral video, depicts Shivakumar’s marketing campaign for Congress Lok Sabha candidate Vinoda Asooti in Savanur city. Within the video, Shivakumar seems to be exiting a car as staff encompass him. A Congress employee makes an attempt to the touch Shivakumar’s shoulders, prompting Shivakumar to slap him. Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s IT Cell, condemned the incident, sharing the video on social media and criticising Shivakumar’s actions. Malviya highlighted earlier situations of alleged aggression by Shivakumar in the direction of Congress staff.
