Chennai:
Three folks had been killed as roof of the favored Sekhmet Bar collapsed in Chennai ‘s busy Chamiers Street within the Alwarpet space on Thursday.
Investigators say the roof of the primary flooring collapsed. There are conflicting stories on what had led to the roof collapse.
Some are pointing fingers on the metro rail work underway reverse the bar. Abash Kumar, the state hearth companies chief, instructed NDTV: “Two folks have died. They’ve been recognized as employees. Rescue groups are working to see if anybody else is trapped”.
Officers added “the bar was practical”.
“We’re checking if any main impactful operation was underway round that point within the metro rail work,” stated Prem Anand Sinha, Joint Commissioner of Police.
In the meantime, authorities have launched an investigation into the reason for the roof collapse. Town police is but to subject a press release.
