Anti-Terror Raids In 7 States In Bengaluru Prison Radicalisation Case

The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) at present carried out raids at a number of places in a case associated to the radicalisation of prisoners by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, an official stated.

The search operations have been carried out at as many as 17 locations in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and 5 different states, linked to the suspects as a part of persevering with investigations into the case registered in October.

The case was initially registered by the Bengaluru Metropolis Police in July 2023, following the seizure of arms, ammunition, hand grenades and walkie-talkies from the possession of seven of the accused individuals. The restoration was made whereas the seven males have been gathered in the home of one of many accused.

Investigations into the case, which was taken over by the NIA in October 2023, revealed that T Naseer, who has been serving a life sentence in Central Jail in Bengaluru since 2013, had are available in contact with the opposite accused whereas they have been all lodged in Bengaluru Jail in 2017.
