West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday dubbed the cancellation of over 25,000 faculty jobs as “gross injustice” and alleged that it was a ploy by the BJP to cease these job losers from being deployed in ballot obligation.

Banerjee, whereas addressing an election rally within the Medinipur Lok Sabha constituency in Paschim Medinipur district, puzzled how the faculties may perform with so many lecturers out of jobs.

Earlier this week, the Calcutta Excessive Court docket had declared the recruitment strategy of the State Degree Choice Check-2016 (SLST) in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided colleges as “null and void,” ordering the cancellation of all appointments made by it.

“If somebody has dedicated a mistake, it may be rectified, however snatching 25,000 jobs is a gross injustice. How will the faculties perform, in that case many lecturers are out of jobs? “It’s a ploy by the BJP. I’ve respect for the judiciary however what has occurred is gross injustice,” Banerjee stated.

“So many roles have been taken away in order that these job losers can’t be deployed in ballot obligation throughout elections and central authorities workers could be engaged, who will work on the behest of the saffron camp,” she added.
