Kolkata: The BJP on Wednesday filed a criticism with the Election Fee towards West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she tried to incite voters to violence whereas addressing a public assembly.

Banerjee, addressing an election rally at Maynaguri in Jalpaiguri district on Tuesday, claimed that some BJP members shouted “chor chor” concentrating on her convoy within the Chalsa space.

The BJP, in its criticism to the EC, claimed that she had mentioned, “They dared to say chor chor on seeing my automotive, if I had the chance would have pulled their tongues out, due to elections I didn’t say something.”

Alleging that she tried to “incite the voters to violence whereas addressing a public gathering”, the BJP mentioned that is “expressly prohibited beneath the electoral legal guidelines of the land”. The BJP claimed the assertion is in gross violation of the Mannequin Code of Conduct (MCC).

“You might be requested to take rapid steps towards the continued provocative assertion made by Smt. Mamata Banerjee,” the criticism to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal, mentioned.

Whereas expressing her anguish over the incident at Chalsa, Banerjee mentioned that she doesn’t even draw her MP pension or wage as an MLA or the chief minister.

“I journey in my automotive and don’t use a authorities automobile. I put on easy garments and lead a easy life. I even pay for bills resembling a cup of tea,” she had mentioned whereas addressing the rally.
