attention: The phenomenon of focusing mental resources on a specific object or event.
behavior: The way something, often a person or other organism, acts towards others, or conducts itself.
ethology: The science of behavior in animals, including humans, from a biological point of view.
facet: One side of a surface (such as a cut gemstone) or one part (or feature) of something, such as an argument or multi-sided diagram or fold on an origami shape.
feline: Adjective for something having to do with cats (wild or domestic) or their behaviors.

psychology: (adj. psychological ) The study of the human mind, especially in relation to actions and behavior. To do this, some perform research using animals. Scientists and mental-health professionals who work in this field are known as psychologists.

survey: (with people) To ask questions that glean data on the opinions, practices (such as dining or sleeping habits), knowledge or skills of a broad range of people. Researchers select the number and types of people questioned in hopes that the answers these individuals give will be representative of others who are their age, belong to the same ethnic group or live in the same region.
