Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane has added a touch of luxury to his garage as he recently purchased a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV. The images of the batsman taking the delivery of his brand-new luxury ride was shared by the dealership on Instagram. It is priced from Rs 2.88 crore, ex-showroom. Rahane, who plays for Chennai Super Kings in IPL, opted for the Polar White colour for his new car.
The Maybach GLS, based on the standard Mercedes-Benz GLS, features unique styling cues like redesigned chrome grille, LED headlamps, and 22-inch alloy wheels, and of course, the iconic Maybach badge on the bonnet and D-pillar. Inside, the opulent cabin offers Nappa leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, reclining seats with massage and ventilation, extendable folding tables, and a built-in refrigerator, making it a luxurious four or five-seater SUV.

The safety package includes eight airbags, ABS, ESP, lane keep assist, blind spot assist, active brake and steering assist, and tire pressure monitoring, among other features.
Speaking of the engine, the GLS 600 boasts a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning out 557 hp and a staggering 730 Nm of torque. The engine also features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and the transmission duties are performed by a 8-speed AT that sends power to all four wheels. Furthermore, this SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 4.9 seconds.
