The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot for questioning on Saturday relating to a money-laundering case linked to the now-abolished excise coverage for the capital, in response to official sources.
Gahlot serves as an Aam Aadmi Social gathering (AAP) MLA from Najafgarh and holds the portfolios of transport, residence, and legislation within the Delhi authorities led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who himself has been arrested by the federal company in reference to the case.
Official sources informed PTI that Gahlot has been known as to seem for questioning within the case and to offer his assertion below the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA).
The case revolves round alleged corruption and cash laundering related to the formulation and implementation of the Delhi authorities’s excise coverage for 2021-22, which was subsequently revoked.
Earlier, AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh have been arrested by the ED in reference to the identical case and are at present in judicial custody.
