Huma speaks about Deepika getting trolled.

Huma Qureshi said that we are currently in a trolling culture where every move is judged.

The latest season of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee with Karan 8, was opened by Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Although it was one of the most watched episodes of the show, Deepika received a lot of criticism for revealing that when she dated Ranveer before marriage, she was also seeing other men. Now, Huma Qureshi has reacted to this.

Speaking on the AfterHours with All About Eve podcast, Huma Qureshi said, “Ab kya bol sakte hai, (what can we say) ridiculous…We are supposed to present a kind of palatable…I guess, something they are expecting. I don’t know what it is, I don’t think anyone knows what it is.”

She added, “We are in a trolling culture. Black pehna hai to troll karo, black nahi pehna hai to troll karo. (If someone is wearing black, troll, if someone is not wearing black, troll them) You know, what I mean…”

Talking about the trolling she is subjected to, Huma said, “I don’t even read it. I have no patience for it, I have nothing for it. Why should I waste 15 minutes of my life reading some loser’s deconstruction of my life choices? I am really not interested. But I feel that people who do that come from a place of being unhappy. So, I feel bad for them.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh is all set to play the iconic role of Don in the third instalment of Farhan Akhtar’s popular film franchise of the same name. The actor has replaced Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who played the Don in the 2006 and 2011 hit action thrillers.

As for Deepika, she is currently enjoying the success of Fighter. Released on January 25, Fighter stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead. The film revolves around the Indian Air Force giving a befitting reply to the terrorism in Pakistan.
