The Air India Specific plane was stationary and awaiting clearance to enter the runway at Kolkata for a scheduled operation to Chennai

The wingtip of a taxiing IndiGo plane grazed a stationary Air India Specific which was awaiting clearance at Kolkata Airport on Wednesday. The Air India Specific was certain to Chennai airport. An investigation into the incident is underway.

Air India Specific Releases Assertion

“The wingtip of a taxiing plane of one other airline grazed considered one of our plane, which was stationary and awaiting clearance to enter the runway at Kolkata for a scheduled operation to Chennai. The plane has since returned to the bay and additional investigation is underway, for which we’re coordinating with the regulator and airport authorities. We apologise for the inconvenience brought about to visitors on account of exterior circumstances,” an Air India Specific spokesperson stated in an announcement.

IndiGo Airways Releases Assertion

The IndiGo flight 6E 6152 between Kolkata and Darbhanga was delayed because of the accident, the airways stated in an announcement.

Consequently, IndiGo flight 6E 6152 between Kolkata and Darbhanga has been delayed, IndiGo Airways stated in an announcement.

Refreshments have been supplied to all passengers and an alternate plane has been organized to minimise delay and inconvenience to the passengers. IndiGo prioritises passenger security above all else. An incident report shall be submitted to DGCA in the end, as per protocol, the assertion added.

IndiGo Pilots Taken Off Roster

Following the accident, the Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA) took the pilots of the IndiGo airplane off the roaster.

DGCA off-rostered pilots of IndiGo airways after the IndiGo airplane hit stationary Air India Specific throughout taxiing in Kolkata as we speak, the aviation company stated in an announcement.
