Then came the RCB game. After getting the better of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gill followed it up with another Instagram post featuring Virat Kohli. The caption, “Play Bold @jaseholder98,” looked like praise for Jason Holder on the surface, but many fans read it as a clever twist on RCB’s “Play Bold” tagline.
And now, with PBKS.

HOW GT DEFEATED PBKS IN AHMEDABAD
The game itself had very little room for comfort.
Punjab Kings were on the ropes early, slipping to 47 for 5 as Jason Holder (4/24) led a sharp bowling effort. But they didn’t go away. Suryansh Shedge counterattacked with 57 off 29, while Marcus Stoinis added 40, dragging PBKS to 163 for 9.
GT’s chase looked under control for large parts. Sudharsan’s 57 off 41 gave them a steady base, but Punjab kept finding ways to stay in the game, pushing it into the final over.
With the game tightening, Sundar stepped up. His unbeaten 40 off 23, including a crucial six, closed it out with one ball to spare as GT finished on 167 for 6.
