New Delhi: JSW Metal on Saturday introduced commissioning of a scorching strip mill at its built-in metal plant in Vijayanagar, Karnataka. The corporate has additionally made first dispatch of metal merchandise from the mill having an annual capability of 5 million tonnes (MT), JSW Metal stated in an trade submitting.
“JSW Vijayanagar Metallics Ltd (JVML), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the corporate, at present efficiently commissioned its scorching strip mill (HSM) at Vijayanagar plant with a capability of 5 MTPA and has made its first dispatch,” the corporate stated.
The HSM facility has the aptitude of producing plates and coils and is provided with superior options akin to digital reheating furnaces, evaporative cooling system and waste warmth restoration system, amongst others.
The ability was lit-up on March 17, 2024, and after profitable completion of trial runs and high quality & supply testing, the business manufacturing and gross sales have commenced, JSW Metal stated.
