The transport secretary mentioned there was “nothing” in Labour’s plan that may make rail providers higher for passengers.
Mark Harper predicted it could result in “French-style wildcat strikes” and put unions again within the driving seat.
He mentioned the federal government was delivering on “smart issues” on the railways, however Labour’s new coverage would result in larger costs and value taxpayers extra.
