The UK’s first main movie competition devoted to Muslim cinema introduced its inaugural lineup on Tuesday, with a slew of award-winning movies that includes the likes of Riz Ahmed and Informer’s Nabhaan Rizwan.
Ahmed, winner of an Oscar for greatest stay motion brief movie, will seem in Dammi, a brief movie directed by Yann Demange, the French film-maker greatest recognized for High Boy and Northern Eire-set drama ’71. Ahmed co-stars with Isabelle Adjani in a narrative a few man confronting his French and Algerian heritage on a visit to Paris. The Muslim worldwide movie competition runs from 30 Could to 2 June on the Odeon West Finish in London.
