In his NDTV evaluation, movie critic Saibal Chatterjee acknowledged, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed and co-written by Ali Abbas Zafar, has a surfeit of explosive motion. The string of loud and flashy set items leaves no room for the rest in any respect. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all clones, cliches and cacophony. They compete with one another to be seen and heard above the din in a cauldron wherein crass extra is the norm.”
