Assam minister Pijush Hazarika on Monday addressed the state of the Congress celebration amidst a collection of defections to the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) by its leaders in latest weeks, simply forward of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Hazarika, who beforehand served as president of Assam Youth Congress, recalled the battle throughout the celebration in 2011 when then Assam CM Tarun Gogoi launched his son Gaurav Gogoi to state politics. This determination was opposed by highly effective minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, resulting in a break up that noticed over 40 Congress MLAs becoming a member of Sarma.

Reflecting on his time within the Congress, Hazarika said that his departure from the celebration was triggered by the forceful entry of Gaurav Gogoi into state politics. “Solely due to Gaurav Gogoi’s Para go well with Touchdown by his father, then Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, Himanta Biswa Sarma felt compelled to depart Congress. The Congress Excessive Command didn’t perceive our drawback, because of which we needed to depart Congress,” he defined.

Hazarika formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) in November 2015, following the trail of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Now a member of the BJP and holding portfolios in water sources and data, Hazarika added, “Our fault was we opposed Congress’ blanket politics, we opposed vogue appeasement that’s the reason the Congress leaders didn’t like us.. Had Gaurav Gogoi not forcefully entered state politics, Assam Congress wouldn’t have confronted such a disaster.”

Equally, former Congress state working president Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, who joined the BJP in February, blamed the central management of Congress for failing to grasp the state’s points.

Purkayastha commented, “At this time, there is no such thing as a one to marketing campaign for Congress. No leaders, no employees on the Mandal degree to help the celebration’s candidate in campaigning; the candidates are campaigning on their very own. That is the results of the Congress management’s blunders in previous years. The choices made by the Congress management have prompted the folks of Assam to lose religion within the celebration.”

Assam Congress Chief to Be part of BJP Quickly: Himanta

In the meantime, Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence that Assam Congress chief Bhupen Borah would possibly quickly be part of the BJP, following the resignation of veteran Assam Congress chief and MLA Bharat Chandra Narah. “Mark my phrases; Bhupen Borah will quickly be part of the BJP. I don’t make baseless claims,” he said.

Narah resigned on Monday after his spouse, Ranee Narah, was denied a Congress ticket for the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituency.

Sarma mentioned, “Until now, Bharat Narah has taken half steps. If he makes up his thoughts correctly and is totally prepared, he might be welcomed into the BJP.”
