CK Nayudu Trophy: Andhra batsman Vamshhi Krrishna has created history by hitting six sixes off an over in the ongoing CK Nayudu Trophy. The incredible feat came against Railways as Vamshhi hit six sixes off Damandeep Singh, as the off spinner looked completely out of sorts against the onslaught of the Andhra batter. The match at YS Raja Reddy ACP Cricket Stadium in Kadapaon Wednesday, February 21, saw the Andhra team put up a total of 378, but the match ended in a draw as Andhra’s efforts in batting were not complemented by their bowling, as Railways had put up 865/9 on the scoreboard.

Vamshhi Krrishna Joins An Elist List Of Indian Players
Andhra batter Vamshhi Krishna is not the only batter to ever hit six sixes off an over. The first ever instance of it was witnessed back in 1985, when World Cup winner and star-allrounder Ravi Shastri hit six sixes off an over while playing for Mumbai against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy. Shastri was then the second player after Gary Sobers to achieve this iconic feat.
The second instance is one of the most legendary and iconic moments in the history of cricket, as the legendary Yuvraj Singh (who’s probably the finest all-rounder India ever produced) struck six sixes off Stuart Broad after being instigated by Andrew Flintoff. The occasion was the inaugural T20 World Cup, which was in 2007, in South Africa, and India dismantled England in fitting style.
The third instance came in 2022, when Ruturaj Gaikwad struck seven sixes off Shiva Singh in Vijay Hazare Trophy, in the fixture of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
