Europalco expanded its logistics infrastructure in Portugal with new facilities in Porto and the Algarve to support faster regional event operations and local technical deployment.

LISBON – Europalco has expanded its logistics infrastructure in Portugal through the enlargement of its warehouse in Porto and the opening of a new warehouse in the Algarve.

The company stated that the investment is aimed at strengthening regional operational capacity and supporting events with local equipment, technical teams and faster response times.

According to Europalco, the expansion represents a transition from a centralised logistics structure to a network-based operating model.

The new facilities will function as regional logistics hubs, maintaining permanent stock of audiovisual equipment, furniture and event structures for projects in Northern and Southern Portugal.

The company stated that the initiative is expected to improve operational flexibility, reduce setup times and decrease the environmental impact associated with long-distance transportation of equipment.

The expansion also supports other companies within the Europalco ecosystem, including Rise in the Algarve, and New Audiovisuais and AV Tech in Northern Portugal and Porto.

According to the company, the integrated logistics structure will allow local deployment of audiovisual technologies and event infrastructure across multiple regions.

Pedro Magalhães, Founder and CEO of Europalco, said: “Operating with local infrastructure in Porto and the Algarve allows Europalco to respond with greater speed, consistency, and efficiency in two strategic regions of the country. It also represents an important step in the group’s move toward a more agile and sustainable logistics model in Portugal.”

Europalco stated that the new operational model will help improve responsiveness to last-minute event changes while enabling more efficient management of transport resources.

The company added that the investment forms part of its broader growth and consolidation strategy in Portugal, supporting increased business volumes and the delivery of complex projects across different regions.

According to Europalco, clients and partners will continue to receive the same technical standards and service consistency, supported by strengthened local operational infrastructure.
