A big boat collided with Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. Emergency rescuers have reached the spot to rescue those that fell into the water.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed after a big boat collided with it within the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Following the collision, a number of autos fell into the water. The authorities stated they’re attempting to rescue no less than seven individuals.

The big vessel was seen crashing into the bridge. It caught fireplace earlier than sinking and led a number of autos to fall into the Patapsco River, in keeping with footage going viral on social media website X.

Mayor Brandon M. Scott and Baltimore County Government Johnny Olszewski Jr. posted that emergency personnel have been responding and rescue efforts have been underway.

A police spokesperson from the Baltimore Police Division informed NBC Information that individuals have been presumably within the river.

“I can affirm at 1:35 a.m., Baltimore Metropolis police have been notified of a partial bridge collapse, with staff presumably within the water, on the Francis Scott Key Bridge,” Detective Niki Fennoy stated in a press release.
