The Vanaz to Chandani Chowk and Ramwadi to Wagholi extensions cowl a complete of 12.75 km collectively, are all elevated, and encompass 13 stations.

The federal government of Maharashtra has accredited the extension of the Pune Metro’s Vanaz to Ramwadi stretch at each ends.

The primary extends from Vanaz to Chandni Chowk, whereas the second is from Ramwadi to Wagholi. Pune Metro has created a Detailed Challenge Report (DPR) for these extensions, which was initially submitted to the Pune Municipal Company for approval and later transferred to the state authorities for additional approval.

The choice to approve the extension of the Pune Metro Rail was made by the state authorities throughout a State Cupboard assembly chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, reported Pune Instances Mirror.

Informing about the identical, the Pune Metro Rail wrote, “The Vanaz to Chandni Chowk extension spans 1.12 KM, fully elevated, and has two stations: Chandni Chowk Station and Kothrud Bus Depot Station.”

“The Ramwadi to Wagholi stretch, all elevated and spanning 11.36 km, will accommodate 11 stations: Viman Nagar Station, Kharadi Bypass Station, Somnath Nagar Station, Ubale Nagar Station, Tulaja Bhavani Station, Wagheshwar Temple Station, Higher Kharadi Highway Station, Wagholi Station, Bakori Phata Station, Siddharth Nagar Station, and Vithalwadi Station,” they added.

These extensions cowl a complete of 12.75 km collectively, all elevated, and encompass 13 stations. The estimated price for this part is roughly Rs 3,756.58 crore. Funding for the initiative will likely be supplied by the central and state govts, in addition to bilateral and multilateral establishments. As per the media outlet, the central authorities has allotted a complete funding of Rs 3,226.49 crore for the challenge, whereas the state authorities has accredited Rs 259.65 crore for land acquisition for the tasks.

Along with that, funds have been allotted for curiosity prices, resettlement, land acquisition, and rehabilitation.

On this event, Managing Director of Maharashtra Metro Shravan Hardikar stated that it is a pure extension for the Vanaz to Ramwadi stretch, which has been permitted by the Maharashtra Authorities. This approval will speed up the implementation of those traces, offering momentous advantages to the residents alongside Nagar Highway.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar believes that these metro routes will present quick and environment friendly public transportation, linking suburban residents to town, reported Instances Now.
