Israel Closes Schools 'In Light Of Security Situation' Amid Tensions With Iran

The measure is about to final two days, based on on-line military tips.

Jerusalem:

Israel is closing colleges nationwide over safety considerations, navy spokesman Daniel Hagari stated on Saturday, after Iran threated to retaliate for a lethal air strike on its Damascus consulate.

There will probably be “no instructional actions” when the varsity week begins on Sunday “in mild of the safety scenario,” he stated in a televised assertion.

The measure is about to final two days, based on on-line military tips.

Iran has vowed retaliation after the presumed Israeli strike on April 1 which levelled its consulate in Damascus, killing seven members of the Revolutionary Guards together with two generals.

US President Joe Biden stated on Friday that he anticipated Iran to retaliate “sooner (moderately) than later”.

Earlier on Saturday Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seized a container ship “associated to the Zionist regime (Israel)” close to the Strait of Hormuz, state media reported.

Israeli Overseas Minister Israel Katz postponed a deliberate go to to Hungary and Austria which had been scheduled to start on Sunday “as a result of safety scenario,” his spokesman stated.
